Thanks! I think downtown is taking off As a matter of fact new clubs and restaurants have opened just recently. Rum Runners is planning to open a bar and grill in the old Kress Buiolding. Since you've spent alot of time in Raleigh, you might be aware that Raleigh has one too.

How do you all think the best way to spread the word for this message board. The more people and opinions we get on here, the more Greensboro can grow and that is the point right? What do yall think?

Tim,
I see that you are an administator, but I was curious what your position is with Greensboro or what led you to start this message board up. I think it is a great idea and i love the site, i hope it continues to grow. Anyways, I feel as if this is a great way to meet people in Greensboro and maybe it can unite our city. I would enjoy talking to you and getting to know the background of all of this. Thanks for your time and everything your doing. Michael Sumner

Last summer, did ya'll ever go to the Beach Music Festivals every Thursday night. I went to them all and had a great time doing so. These events raised a good amount of money for charity, but events and festivities like these bring people dowtown. More festivities like these will bring people dowtown and they will go eat before or after in the restaurants and they will see that downtown is revitalizing and word of mouth is very powerful. What other events do ya'll think will bring a lot of people downtown?

I think there will be a lot of improvements. Give Greensboro time. Once there is visible economic growth, i think a lot of things will start to change, for the better of course.

Being a college student, in Raleigh, students are definitely looking for places close to their residency. The closer the stores, restraunts, bars, etc., the more students will go. Downtown has the ability to grow and become very modern, what college kids like. Also, the more they like it now, the more they will want to live there and find a job here. College students should be one of the main target markets for revitalizing downtown. The future is near and these students will be the ones working there. The Grasshoppers also have a huge opportunity to market these college students because Thursday night is college night out and what is better to start the night than a few drinks if of age at a baseball game near your college before you head to the bar. If you would like any more opinions for a college student's point of view, let me know.

I just found the site because I am very interested in the new ballpark and I love baseball. I think that the stadium is great. I have been there twice now and both times were great. I was there for the opening tour for season ticket owners and for the exhibition game. Given time, the ballpark will definitely help Greensboro's economic growth. This website is great. I am really glad this site was put together. I really think that if people find out about it, it will take off. I'm in Raleigh right now, so until summer, my contact with Greensboro is my parents but they always let me know how the Grasshoppers are doing. Great site and I am enjoying talking to all ya'll about baseball and the stadium and economic growth of downtown.
